OBAMA

Today was wonderful.  I woke up at about 6:30 to get ready for the “We Are One” concert where there were more than seven hundred thousand people at the Lincoln Memorial. It was backed up all the way to the Washington monument! We got there around 8:30 am and we stood in the freezing cold of 18 degrees for 5 hours sleeping, playing card games, and waiting. But the five-hour wait went by pretty fast because when you gather 750,000  people things can get pretty hectic. Everyone was so bored that when some random guy started climbing a tree everyone started chanting, “You can do it.” But the wait was totally worth it though and I would love to do it again any given day because the concert was amazing. It touched the people’s heart. The famous actors and musicians wanted to be a part of history and perform just for us and they weren’t even being paid. Also, the most important thing was that we were making history and we were there and we were the ones who made all this possible. WE THE PEOPLE were all as one on that day and everyone got along. Then as Obama came on stage to speak people were crying, people were chanting his name, and everyone was just so glad in different ways.  The day we have been waiting for had finally gotten here and that day is called CHANGE. You only need one word to describe this day …phenomenal!
